CNC Motion Systems Installer and Setup Specialist

• Set up, operate, and maintain mills, lathes, grinders, routers, and drills across CNC and conventional platforms.
• Translate engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specs into exacting machine setups and installations.
• Install and align motion components: ball screws, DC motors, linear scales, and housings.
• Inspect machines, parts, and assemblies—visual, dimensional, and functional—using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Adjust machining processes for accuracy and throughput; perform minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Move skidded product; operate forklifts and walkies; assist with warehouse tasks to meet customer commitments.
• Communicate by phone with internal/external contacts; access information using the AS/400 system.
• Use cleaning materials (including chemical products) and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Champion MSC culture; join special projects and take on additional duties as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).
• 3+ years of machining or technical experience.
• Detail orientation and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Meets physical requirements; basic computer skills

• CNC Lathe (2–4 axis) and CNC Lathe (5+ axis)

• Measurement gauges; calipers and micrometers
• RF scanner; cherry picker (order picker); conveyor systems
• Power tools; band saw
• CNC automation solutions

• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
• You may be temporarily reassigned to other warehouse functions to meet service needs.
