Job OverviewMurphy‑Hoffman Company, LLC is North America’s largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Used Truck Sales Manager. The role plans and directs the used truck marketing activities of the branch or branches assigned, organizing and controlling the efforts of used truck sales and maintenance personnel to achieve company objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate all activities of the Used Truck Department at branch or branches assigned to achieve objectives and sales goals.
- Develop a sales and marketing program to meet specific sales and net‑profit targets based on current market conditions.
- Evaluate department performance against established targets, taking appropriate action; appraise sales personnel performance against standards.
- Control used truck inventory turns and gross profit by analyzing market potential and appraising trucks for resale, including reconditioning requirements for retail or wholesale.
- Develop and train department sales personnel to ensure objectives are met; assist in selling efforts as needed.
- Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with outside wholesalers, dealers, and auction companies.
- Maintain understanding and acceptance with all other departments throughout the branch or branches.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Knowledge of the wholesale/retail market.
- Sales and management training.
