CNC Machinist

Are you an experienced CNC Machine Setter Operator looking for your next permanent position? Is Lytham an area you can easily commute to work? Would a salary of £39500 including shift allowance be OK for you? Are you happy working a permanent 14.00 - 00.00 Monday - Thursday shift? Do you have experience setting and operating a CNC Lathe? • Set and operate CNC lathes (and multi-machine cells where required)
• Load programs, set tooling, offsets, and fixtures accurately
• Prove out jobs and optimise cycle times where appropriate
• Monitor machining processes to maintain consistent quality
• Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
• Carry out in-process and final inspection using:
  Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges
• CMM and shadow graph where required
• Record inspection results in job packs and quality systems
• Carry out daily TPM checks (coolant levels, lubrication, condition monitoring)
• Maintain machines and work areas to 5S standards
• Report faults or maintenance issues promptly

• Proven CNC turning experience (setting and operating)
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Competent in precision measurement and inspection techniques
• Understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
• Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• High attention to detail and quality mindset
