CNC Machinist

Location: Lytham

Do you have experience setting and operating a CNC Lathe?

Duties will include;
Set and operate CNC lathes (and multi-machine cells where required)
Load programs, set tooling, offsets, and fixtures accurately
Prove out jobs and optimise cycle times where appropriate
Monitor machining processes to maintain consistent quality
Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
Carry out in-process and final inspection using:
Vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges
CMM and shadow graph where required
Record inspection results in job packs and quality systems
Carry out daily TPM checks (coolant levels, lubrication, condition monitoring)
Maintain machines and work areas to 5S standards
Report faults or maintenance issues promptly

Skills required
Proven CNC turning experience (setting and operating)
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Competent in precision measurement and inspection techniques
Understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and materials
Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills
High attention to detail and quality mindset
