Sable Corporation is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract with one of our partner hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular nursing and be skilled in providing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.
This role requires attention to detail, clinical precision, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
- Assist physicians during angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, vital signs, and sedation levels throughout procedures.
- Administer medications and contrast agents safely under physician direction.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control policies.
- Accurately document all patient care activities and procedural data in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with technologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency procedures as required.
- Active RN license in the state of California (or compact state license).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent Cath Lab experience in an acute care hospital.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac care procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care nursing principles.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
