Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The RN also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. The RN responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment, provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors, and utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well‑being and appropriateness of care to neonates from post‑delivery stabilization through discharge.
L&D provides direct patient care within the scope of practice with assistance to Women’s Health.
The client is seeking to create a per diem pool for RN Labor and Delivery Nights.
Requirements- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintained.
- NRP (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintained.
- One year experience in an acute care setting with experience in nursery or L&D environment preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Adv. Fetal Monitoring.
