Scrub Technician performs a variety of patient care and clerical duties to assist and support the organization and function of the Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP). Works cooperatively with and under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Provides direct care to patient of various ages (neonate, adolescent, adult). Interacts with physicians, patients, families/significant others, hospital staff and community agencies in providing basic care.
Is responsible for completion and processing of the birth certificates, and “Declaration of Paternity” forms.
The client is seeking to create a per diem pool for Scrub Technician Labor and Delivery Per Diem.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- BLS Certification within 30 days and maintain current.
- Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, EMT, ROP, Paramedic Training Program.
- Certified Surgical Scrub Technician or equivalent required. (State Specific)
