Repair and Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the R & M Manager, you are responsible to perform preventative or corrective maintenance to a wide variety of facilities and equipment for the stores in your designated areas.

T&T Supermarkets is marking over 30 years as Canada’s favorite Asian grocery store and recently announced multiple new store locations in the United States. Our growth into the US offers great opportunities within our first US flagship store, opened in 2024 in Bellevue, Washington in the Marketplace at Factoria, spanning 76,000 sq.ft. and standing as the largest Asian specialty supermarket in Washington state.

We have established our regional office in the greater Los Angeles area to grow T&T Supermarket’s vendor base with American food suppliers.

• Perform preventative maintenance on a routine basis including equipment, building systems, utilities, and facility components.
• Perform general maintenance such as rough and finish carpentry, painting and interior finishes repair and replacement, door and window repairs, hardware installation and repair, installing sealants and caulking, minor roofing repairs, light fixture lamp replacements, metal fabrications, hanging pictures, adjusting and repairing furniture, and installing and repairing cabinets.
• Perform in-depth and complex maintenance work including equipment installation, flooring repair and refinishing.
• Perform periodic building equipment inspections following a checklist and schedule to proactively identify maintenance and repair needs prior to occupying any building.
• Install, operate and maintain all building equipment and components that support the facility including HVAC systems, building control systems, purified water system, cooling towers, chillers, steam boilers, emergency generators, clean steam, RO water system, compressed air and lab gas distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot problems in the event of mechanical failure of equipment and recommend necessary parts for effective repair.
• Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required to resolve problems and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with contractors and support Project Management Teams.
• Take part or assist in the development of any documents required to support the maintenance function.
• Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by superior(s).

• Relevant and valid licenses (Electrical, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Gas) which comply with statutory safety standards a plus.
• 1-2 years of experience in delivering R&M of fast‑paced retail environment, supermarket preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong technical skills, including diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of equipment, ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, cabinet coolers, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, etc.
• Respect and professionalism in all interactions through effective inter‑personal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift more than 40 lbs. and able to perform duties in various environments.
• Operate tools and equipment using proper techniques and postures that comply with work safety standards and requirements.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
