Job DescriptionSeeking experienced aerospace leaders to train the next generation of manufacturing workforce. The primary responsibility of this position is the delivery of classroom and hands‑on lab instruction supporting the aerospace industry. This professional exempt position reports to the Associate Director.
Responsibilities- Deliver classroom and laboratory instruction for aerospace manufacturing curriculum.
- Review and update aerospace manufacturing curriculum.
- Teach one or more classes covering drilling and installing fasteners in aluminum and composite titanium, installing wire bundles, installing hydraulic tubing, applying sealant to attach parts, using safety wire and cable, alodine application, precision measuring tools, shim installation, and corrosion awareness.
- Evaluate and grade students, supervise classroom and high‑bay activities, and conduct conflict resolution.
- Continuing employment contingent on specific industry contracts.
Work may be performed in confined spaces and noisy environments requiring hearing protection. Use of a respirator may be required due to exposure to organic and inorganic chemicals and dust. Must lift at least 50 pounds and perform overhead work. Excellent attendance record required.
Required Qualifications- 2 years of aerospace mechanical and electrical assembly experience; OR
- 2 years of industrial hands‑on experience in composites, electrical, plumbing, stand‑alone drill motors, power tools, torque equipment, and various pneumatic tools.
- Interest in working with individuals and teams to share aerospace knowledge while guiding them to achieve success.
- Strong communication skills.
- Five years of training in an industrial setting with experience facilitating web‑based, classroom, and lab‑based training.
- Experience with manufacturing machinery such as mills, lathes (CNC or manual), plasma, waterjet, and laser equipment.
Salary is $75,616.91 - $80,221.98 and is based on the Edmonds College administrative/exempt salary schedule, plus a full state benefits package including tuition waivers for college classes, medical, dental, retirement options and more. Vacation and leave package includes 12 sick days per year, 11 scheduled holidays, 1 personal holiday, and 24 vacation leave days per year.
Work ScheduleTypically Monday through Friday (standard full‑time schedule).
