Medicare Parts A & B offered by Social Security Administration in Lynnwood

Offers hospital insurance (Part

A) and medical insurance (Part

B) for individuals meeting eligibility requirements. Hospital Insurance (Part

A) helps pay for the following:

  • Costs above deductible and applicable co-payment per benefit period.
  • Inpatient hospital care and, when medically necessary after a hospital stay, inpatient care in a skilled nursing facility, home health care, the cost of drugs, supplies, appliances, equipment, and any other services ordinarily furnished to inpatients of the hospital or skilled nursing facility.
  • Hospice care.
  • Medical Insurance (Part

    B) helps pay for the following:

  • Physician's services
  • Outpatient hospital services in an emergency room or an outpatient clinic of a hospital
  • Home health visits
  • Outpatient physical and speech therapy
  • Other medical services prescribed by a doctor, such as diagnostic services, x-ray or other radiation treatments, some ambulatory services, surgical dressing, splints, casts and braces.

    Office: M-F, 9am-4pm. Toll Free Number: 24 hours daily.

    Call to make an appointment at a local office or apply online. Apply for Medicare no later than the month before 65th birthday so it will begin at age 65. Once enrolled, patients should always find out beforehand whether their hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health agency is approved for Medicare payments.     Hospital Insurance (Part

    A):
    No premiums if applicant is eligible for Social Security; non-Social Security recipients may pay premium. Medical Insurance (Part

    B):
    Patient pays a premium, a yearly deductible amount and a co-insurance amount for each visit. Monthly premiums, deductibles and co-insurance for Medicare change each year.
