How You Make a DifferenceAs a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), you evaluate, treat, and support individuals on their recovery journey from substance use disorders. In an interdisciplinary team, your contributions foster positive clinical outcomes and continuity of care, ensuring seamless transitions for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Administer screening and assessment tools, utilizing certification/licensure to diagnose substance use disorders within the scope of practice.
- Contribute to treatment plans and actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to evaluate and treat patients with SUD.
- Deliver group and individual services for individuals with substance use disorders, ensuring thorough, accurate, and timely documentation while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA requirements.
- Collect and analyze data related to provided services, assisting in report preparation as necessary for contracts, grants, and accreditation.
- Plan for the continuity of care upon the individual’s release from the facility, providing crisis response and intervention services, and fulfilling other assigned duties.
- Bachelor’s degree in health services field is preferred, or Associate Degree with 30 college credits in SUD topics.
- Experience providing SUD counseling required, including treatment planning, group counseling, and case management.
- Ability to practice independently required.

- CPR Certification
** This position is for 16 hours/week – flexible scheduling.
** Coverage of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program participants requires an active WA SUDP Certification.
