Overview
Are you a skilled Maintenance professional with the ability to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and maintain building systems? - The Maintenance Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and operation of all Cataldo facilities. Performs general maintenance, repair of building mechanical systems and equipment. Projects may range from general repairs to supporting larger projects like renovations or site changes.
- General grounds maintenance, seasonal planning, and snow removal
- Conduct regular facility inspections and address issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with safety and accessibility regulations (OSHA, ADA, etc.)
- Work closely with Operations and Leadership on facility improvements, and/or relocations
- Respond to urgent facility-related issues as needed
- Manage facility-related inventory and equipment storage
- Participate in emergency preparedness and safety planning
- Ability to work safely and independently, pay attention to detail, maintain and develop knowledgeable skills and adhere to safety procedures at all times
- Maintains knowledge of and complies with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times
- Must maintain a reliable attendance record
- Completes other duties as requested and assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Technical training in a related field a plus
- Previous hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building systems, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, security, or other related services preferred
- Prior work in commercial facilities maintenance preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Familiar with safety codes and building regulations
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Satisfactory background check and MA CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information), verification required annually.
- Verification of an acceptable motor vehicle driving record, verification required annually.
- Physical Demands & Work
Conditions:
This job involves regular physical activity, including walking, bending, ladder use, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work takes place in both indoor and outdoor environments and may include exposure to weather. On-call availability for facility emergencies, including some evenings and weekends on a rotating basis, is required
