Job Description Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Engineering Specialist will work in a production shop environment and serve as manufacturing engineer, learning the processes, hardware, specs, and quality requirements. You will have hardware ownership as ME with T700/CT7 engines and/or component hardware of a T700/CT7 engine. T700 engine assembly will be undergoing a transformation during , exposing engineers to lean principles and techniques. This is an invaluable opportunity to be in a dynamic area with regular report outs and visibility to senior leadership.
Manufacturing Engineers will be coached and given autonomy to have a fulfilling role with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow, and will have high potential for root cause/corrective action (RCCA) and process improvement.
Safety: improvement of I&I’s and ergonomics.
Quality: first‑time yield improvements and loss reduction through rework and scrap reduction activities.
Delivery: engines and spares shipped.
Inventory: reduction of non‑nettable inventory.
Productivity: process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Develop in‑depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Use prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- Understand key business drivers and how work of the own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Use judgment and propose different solutions outside of set parameters with guidance, leveraging multiple internal sources outside of own team where necessary.
- Act as an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent, providing informal guidance to new team members.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma with at least four years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Minimum of three additional years of experience in manufacturing/production.
- GE Leadership Program Graduate in lieu of experience is permitted.
- Experience in lean manufacturing.
- Experience in an engine assembly or repair and overhaul environment.
- Experience with CT7 / T700 engines.
- Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) graduate or similar program.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $ – $. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on February 27, 2026.
