About the Role
Due to service development, Vida Healthcare is currently looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking person to join our busy document management team as a scanning clerk. This position will be based at Gayton Road Health Centre and is offered on a part-time basis for 28 hours per week working the following;
Monday - Thursday 12.30pm - 5.30pm
Friday 8am-12pm and 12.30pm - 4.30pm
Main responsibilities will include;
- Ensure that all documentation is processed within an appropriate timeframe, ensuring that they work together with the team to prioritise and access the workload.
- Read and analyse clinical correspondence received and determining the necessary actions.
- Ensure that the documents are completed and work flowed to the relevant person, passing onto GPs and/or other members of the practice team any letters that require further input or action such as prescriptions or referrals.
- Liaise and communicate with wider practice summarising team and participate in meetings as required
- Attend relevant training to meet the requirements of the role and improve skills
- Maintain data security at all times ( clear desk procedures, lock out computers etc)
