Chief Medical Officer

Lynn Community Health Center (LCHC), located in Lynn, MA, seeks a collaborative, strategic, and future-focused leader to serve as its next Chief Medical Officer (CMO). With annual revenue of approximately $125 million, LCHC serves over 40% of Lynn’s population and employs more than 700 dedicated professionals. The organization plays a vital role in advancing health equity and improving the well‑being of the community through comprehensive, affordable, and culturally competent care.

Reporting to LCHC’s Chief Executive Officer, the CMO is a key member of the leadership team and serves as the primary leader for medical services, working in partnership with the Chief Behavioral Health Officer. The CMO will inspire and guide a multidisciplinary team to ensure equitable access to high‑quality care for a diverse patient population. This includes leading clinical and process improvement, prioritizing quality initiatives, and creating financially sustainable clinical strategies.

The CMO will leverage their knowledge of payer mix and care delivery models to optimize revenue without compromising quality. The CMO will collaborate with executive leadership to launch new service lines and optimize existing services that connect clinical innovation with organizational growth objectives.

The CMO will also address workforce challenges and support the implementation of innovative staffing models, including APP utilization, to improve efficiency and patient access. They will partner with LCHC’s Chief People Officer to strengthen provider recruitment and retention. The new leader will champion technology adoption, optimize EPIC utilization, and introduce advanced tools such as AI to reduce administrative burden. Provider technology training and engagement for LCHC will be additional priorities for the new CMO.

Leadership and culture development skills will be essential for the role. The CMO will build a robust pipeline of emerging clinical leaders, foster thought leadership, and champion a patient‑centered culture that is attentive to patients’ needs and continuous improvement. The new CMO will leverage their business acumen to build alignment across departments and optimize resources in an effort to ensure optimal care for LCHC’s diverse patient population.

The ideal candidate will bring significant physician leadership experience gained in a healthcare setting, including federally qualified health centers, primary care networks, not‑for‑profit health systems, or human services organizations. A passion for serving underserved communities and an alignment with LCHC’s mission and values are essential for the role. High ethics, strategic thinking, collaboration, and robust business acumen are key attributes for the role.

Expected Salary Range: $375,000 – $400,000, bonus eligible
