Peer Recovery Coach at Lynn Community Health Center
Pay range: $18.22/hr - $25.00/hr
PEER RECOVERY COACH – Mom's Do Care

In This Role You Will:
- Provide peer supports and peer activities, including Recovery Coaching, Recovery Plans and Telephone Support
- Collaborate with patients to create family care plans and wellness plans in preparation for delivery
- Complete all tracking, intakes, and reporting requirements as required by the funding source
- Maintain appropriate professional standards and provides appropriate follow‑up for patients.
- Promote patients' engagement in therapy with clinicians, engagement with psychiatric appointments, involvement and engagement with wellness services, and engagement with primary care.
- Develop relationships with community groups/agencies in partnership with others in the agency.
- Provides self‑help recovery services and other peer wellness services
- Demonstrates ways to become empowered and self‑responsible
- Provide support to pregnant and parenting women in the office setting, at home, and in community settings
- Work with hospital and community partners to identify pregnant and parenting women in need of SUD treatment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with patients with diverse backgrounds.
- Respect each patient by keeping their information strictly confidential.
- Maintain accurate and complete client charts and client recovery plans in accordance with LCHC policy and state and federal confidentiality laws.
- Attend program staff meetings and conferences/workshops as appropriate.
- Participate in data collection and reporting as directed
- May assist staff in promoting recovery through special projects and duties as assigned.
- Systematically reviews the caseload with the supervisor
Customer Service:
- Demonstrate an understanding of customer service principles by successfully completing on-line Customer Service training.
- Utilize the principles of customer service when interacting with patients/clients, team members, and staff from other departments.
- Appropriately handle or seek support when customer service breakdowns occur.
Cultural Competence:
- Demonstrate knowledge of culture by successfully completing the on-line training on Cultural Competence.
- Utilize an appreciation of and respect for diversity when interacting with patients/clients, team members, and staff from other departments.
- Respond appropriately or seek support when confronted with cultural biases or conflicts.
Supervision Received: This position is supervised by the Recovery Coach Manager.
Supervision Exercised: None.
The Successful Applicant Will
Offer:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Massachusetts peer specialist certification.
- Knowledge of recovery‑based concepts.
- Lived experience with OUD, either with immediate family or self.
- Good communication skills, good organizational skills, personal resilience.
- Limited travel to trainings and conferences may be required.
- History of good attendance and positive work attitude.
- Maintain solid foundation in personal recover.
