- Provide comprehensive bio‑psycho‑social diagnostic assessment at intake and at any point needed throughout the therapeutic treatment.
- Provide psychotherapeutic treatments; be well versed in at least two treatment modalities.
- Use a team‑oriented approach with special emphasis on communication and coordination of care.
- Create patient‑centered treatment plans, provide ongoing treatment, provide case management services, and assess patients' ongoing clinic needs and progress.
- Incorporate feedback from supervision to improve clinical skills and performance.
- Practicum and internship experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mentally ill patients manifesting a wide spectrum of illnesses and symptoms.
- Practicum and internship experience consulting and/or collaborating with agencies that provide care for mentally ill patients.
- Completion and graduation from an accredited graduate program that grants a degree allowing psychologists to practice under supervision in Massachusetts.
- Doctoral degree with commensurate practicum and internship focused on clinical mental health practice.
- Quality training in psychotherapeutic techniques; trained in treating patients with a range of mental illness and different levels of functioning.
