As T901 Mid‑frame Design Engineer, you will own all mid‑frame hardware in the compressor module and demonstrate leadership recognizing the critical rotating parts design. You will use your experience and expertise to solve problems, apply engineering concepts to design and manufacturing issues, develop and execute team objectives, and effect short‑term and long‑term business goals.

Activities contributing to the design and development of T901 mid‑frame include technical improvement of existing products and components. Responsible execution of hardware ownership, manufacturing support, assembly and test support, and product improvement projects for structures mechanical design. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).
Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of T901 midframe projects using источ principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements.
- Include direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of structures mechanical design and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
- Have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; be aware of competition and market differentiators.
- Use judgment and propose different solutions, using technical experience and analytical thinking. Draw on multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explain information; develop skills to bring team members to consensus within field. Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Structures Mechanical Design.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this position.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
- Experience with CAD design, specifically Unigraphics NX.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis, specifically ANSYS.
- Experience with additive manufacturing.
- Experience with component manufacturing, including assembly and fabrication, machining, and/or welding.
