Job Description
KIPP Massachusetts is seeking an ABA Certified Aide for KIPP Academy Lynn Charter School. The Aide will support students with Autism and related developmental disabilities, collaborating closely with teachers, leaders, and families to facilitate academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct student care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
- Follow prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
- Record and summarize data on observable student behavior, including toilet training protocols when necessary.
- Maintain student confidentiality.
- Attend staff professional development sessions, special education team meetings, IEP meetings, and grade level team meetings.
- Assist with parent and caregiver training aligned with individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about student progress as directed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Collaborate with the treatment team, including clients, parents, caregivers, outside professionals, Lead Behavioral Technician, ABA Interns, and co‑workers.
- Apply safe and appropriate handling procedures, including crisis prevention and nonviolent intervention.
- Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
- Adhere to KIPP MA’s Code of Conduct: integrity, humanity, self‑awareness, critical consciousness, personal responsibility, and productive engagement.
- Participate in regional professional development and community events as required.
- Demonstrate strong data collection, interpretation, and decision‑making skills.
- Exhibit self‑awareness, flexibility, and emotional intelligence in a diverse student environment.
- Use interpersonal and self‑management skills to support behavioral and emotional needs, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, families, and others—written, verbal, and virtual.
- Have physical mobility to execute duties, including kneeling, walking, pushing/pulling, squatting, twisting, and reaching overhead.
- Possess sufficient physical strength to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and to restrain a student when necessary.
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive hand movements and operate a computer and office equipment.
- Strong alignment with KIPP MA’s mission and values.
- Demonstrated ability to drive student growth and achievement.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years ABA experience (at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred).
- Computer literacy and baseline familiarity with Google Suite.
- Pass Criminal Background Check.
• Minimum base salary range: $37,000 to $45,000 (per 1.0 FTE/45 hours per week)
• $1,000 signing bonus and annual $2,000 retention bonus (when eligible)
• Additional bonuses as applicable. The role follows the school year calendar.
