Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available at a school in Lynn, MA, serving a middle school sub separate social/emotional therapeutic program. This contract role involves managing a caseload within a therapeutic educational environment and requires a dedicated professional to support the academic and emotional needs of students.
Key
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teacher license is required
- Experience working with middle school students in social/emotional therapeutic settings preferred
- Skills in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy or certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) are beneficial but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual educational plans within a sub separate program
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address students therapeutic and educational goals
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
- Maintain documentation and communicate regularly with families and school staff
