Job Title: 1:1 Tutor – English, Science & Maths (Dereham, Norfolk)

Location: Dereham and surrounding areas – sessions held in students’ homes or local libraries

Hours: Part-time / Flexible

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, paid weekly through PAYE

TP Tutors is seeking passionate and committed educators in the Dereham, Norfolk area who want to make a real difference in children’s lives. You will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis, delivering high-quality English, Science and Maths sessions to support their academic progress, improve engagement, and build confidence.

Many of the students we support receive tuition outside of mainstream school settings, providing a highly rewarding opportunity to create meaningful and lasting impact.

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions in English, Science and Maths.
• Support learners with SEND, SEMH, and additional needs using a child-centred approach.
• Implement effective behaviour strategies to maintain motivation and focus.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to guide next steps.

• Professional teaching qualifications preferred (QTS or equivalent), though experienced tutors are welcome to apply.
• Strong subject knowledge in English, Science and Maths.
• Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one – support provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
