Job DescriptionRECEPTION/ APPOINTMENT CLERK

Please to apply for the position of Reception/Appointment Clerk-1 at the Lynn Community Health Center.
In This Role You Will- Schedule appointments via online scheduling system.
- Verify and update demographic and insurance data in the computer.
- Consistently check voice mail and forward messages to the appropriate staff.
- Continually monitor appointment schedule, acknowledge appointments, and change appointment status when necessary.
- Monitor Waiting Room to ensure patients are being taken care of in a timely manner.
- Responsible for contacting and rescheduling patients when behavioral provider is out of the office.
- Ensures proper use of all office equipment (fax, copier, PC, e-mail, practice management software, printers, phones, voicemail, etc.) in accordance with office policy.
- History of good attendance and positive work attitude towards co-workers and other health center departments.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of secretarial program preferred.
- Medical Terminology course completed within one year of hire.
- English / Spanish bilingual ability is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team and to effectively support team goals and objectives.
- Pleasant telephone manner; good memory and patience.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office).
