Description Summary

Julie Billiart Schools is a network of schools serving children grades K-8 with special learning challenges. Currently we have campuses in Akron, Brecksville, Lyndhurst and Westlake that offer unique learning environments for students with autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, specific learning deficiencies and social learning challenges. We are Catholic, non-public schools that welcome diverse faith traditions.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for designing and implementing social, behavioral and naturalistic teaching to a group of up to 10 students. Teacher may be assigned a camp counselor (depending on size of group) to assist with students and will be responsible for daily management of that staff. Requirements

Education, Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field
  • Professional certification or license preferred
  • 2 + years working with students with ADHD, Autism, or other learning challenges
  • Experience with educational data collection

Working Conditions
  • This position requires being indoors and outdoors, sometimes exposed to weather characteristic of the region.
