Director of Client Support Services

Director of Client Support Services (DCSS) (DCSS) supervisor – Lea N – Executive Director. DCSS plans, monitors and implements services to improve the health or well-being of our residents. They work with agencies and service providers to ensure coordination with the handling of cases and information. DCSS serves as a liaison between clients, their families and community agencies that offer assistance, such as crisis centers, legal advocates, counselors, educational facilities, DSHS, health clinics, etc.

The DCSS facilitates the initial intake process and follow up for each client. Serves as an advocate and liaison for and on behalf of the resident.

• Prior experience in social services or related field. Direct service experience in case management or related duties.
• Strong administrative and organizational skills.
• Engedi is seeking to hire a female for this position, as it is a woman-to-woman ministry.
• Understanding of trauma and its impact on an individual.
• Understanding of mental health diagnoses and its impact on an individual.
• Understanding of healthy boundaries and experience in setting them.
• Knowledge of Substance Use Disorders, signs and symptoms.
• Ability to work with and/or knowledge of working with chronically homeless.
• Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, volunteers and clients.
• Requires time management and interpersonal skills.
• Support and uphold the mission, beliefs and values of Engedi Refuge Ministries.
• Support of and contribute to a creative, collaborative and respectful environment that promotes teamwork.
• Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services.
• Criminal History Background Checks are required prior to employment.
• This person must be emotionally stable and mature, able to separate her needs from the residents.
• Should be in a position to model healthy relationship skills.
• Have a missionary mindset – while it is a paid position, it is not a huge salary.
• This person must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, committed to living a life honoring Him through biblical principles.
• Should have compassion and a desire to see restoration and healing in the lives of the women at Engedi House and actively engage in that process.

• All in-house client management services for Ph 1.
• Weekly one-on-ones.
• Conflict resolution assistance.
• Personal Goal Development.
• Supervision, delegation & direction to Community Services Coordinator (CSC).
• Supervision, delegation & direction to Client Support Services Coordinator (CSSC).
• Attend Monday case management staff meetings & Weds AM monthly Admin staff meetings.
• Assist in case management of residents.
• Assist in crisis management of residents.
• Review, revise and implement policies pertaining to case management.
• Perform on call duties as needed – generally one weekend a month.
• Perform random room searches and UA’s as needed.
• Organize medication for Phase 1 residents @ Safe House.

Flex duties: occasionally teach or sit in on a class as needed, participate in program field trips and residential outings.

Base

Hours:

35 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri – 9am to 4pm;
Weds – 11am to 6pm.
Hourly rate: $25 - $27, depending on experience.
Benefits: PTO; to be earned after successful 90‑day probationary period. Paid Holiday’s.
