Job Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time ROUTE DRIVER - UTILITY position at Canteen.

Location: Canteen Roanoke – 3224 Odd Fellows Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Application: Online only.

Schedule: Full‑time Monday through Friday, starting at 4:00 am and continuing until the route is complete, with occasional overnight shifts. Details are provided during the interview.

Requirement: Prior experience as a route driver is preferred.

Drive company‑owned trucks over established routes to deliver and sell products or render services, collect money from machines, and provide customer support.

Duties include:

• Service assigned routes or locations during the absence of regular route or warehouse employees.
• Assist Customer Service Managers with opening and closing operations and train new route service personnel.
• Deliver soft drinks, bakery products, specialty foods, snack items, and sundries to customers’ places of business.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines, collect stale, rejected or unsold merchandise, and replenish money from machines.
• Record transactions on appropriate card and/or electronic device; maintain accountability for cash and product.
• Call existing customers to assess service adequacy, inform them of new products or services, and resolve complaints.
• Select items from the warehouse and load the truck; prepare order forms for food and pastry products.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or distribute promotion materials to customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; perform tasks safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver’s license and safe operation of company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
