Bus Operator PT

The Bus Operator is responsible for transporting people between various places including, on and off campus facilities for schooling, work and across state lines. They are responsible for driving regular routes and others transport passengers on chartered trips etc. The Bus Operators are responsible for driving Cars, Trucks, and buses to 60-foot articulated buses (with two connected sections) that can carry more than 100 passengers.

Must Operate vehicles in a safe manner and various conditions. Transit Bus Operators are responsible for performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections as well as other basic maintenance. During the summer season Transit Bus Operators will be given the opportunity to work for other departments within the Facilities Management Division, such as;
Maintenance, Custodial, Design & Renovations, and the Grounds Department. This is to provide work during this time of the year where work in the transit department is slow or comes to a halt. The Bus Operators will be responsible for performing and completing general tasks. Working independently and exercising good judgement and discretion is essential to this job. This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
