• Degree from an accredited nursing program

• At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute care psychiatric setting

Psychiatric Nurses (RN) provide comprehensive care for patients with mental health issues, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they deliver total medical care for the patient.

• Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
• Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff in designing and delivering patient care.
• Administer and monitor the effectiveness and side‑effects of psychotropic medications.
• Assist patients and families as appropriate to interpret and manage maladaptive behaviors and plan healthy lifestyle changes.
• Exercise balanced judgment in evaluation situations and make decisions to handle difficult or confrontational situations professionally.
