Travel ER RN – Lynchburg, VA:
Join a Level 2 Trauma Center for a 13-week travel nursing assignment providing emergency and trauma care. This opportunity is for experienced Emergency Department (ED) nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment. 12-hour day shifts (48 hours/week), every other weekend required. - Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 (Lynchburg, Virginia)
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$2010/week
- Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED), Level 2 Trauma Center
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse)
- Start Dates: 4/7/2026 or 4/20/2026 (Orientation every other Monday)
- Duration: 13 weeks (Assignments end on Saturday)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 48 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Not required
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience in a similar-size ED
- Experience in Level 2 or Level 1 Trauma environments required (trauma nurse experience)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (or ATCN/ATLC), NIH Stroke Scale
- Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred (ED documentation and triage workflows)
- All requested time off must be submitted with application
- Locals within 60 miles are not eligible for this travel assignment
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency and trauma care to patients in a busy ED
- Rapid triage, patient assessment, and clinical decision-making in critical care and trauma situations
- Respond quickly and effectively to trauma activations and resuscitation events
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, techs, and specialty services—to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (preferred) and follow ED policies and procedures
- Work scheduled shifts including every other weekend as required for this travel nursing contract
