• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia (24501) — Virginia nursing jobs / Lynchburg VA travel nurse position
• Setting: Emergency Room / Emergency Department (ED), Level 2 Trauma Center
• Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
• Start Dates: 4/7/2026 or 4/20/2026 (Orientation every other Monday)
• Duration: 13 weeks (assignments end on Saturdays)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (48 hours per week)
• Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $2010 per week

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience in a similar-size ED — Emergency Room Registered Nurse / ER RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (Travel RN jobs experience)
• Experience in Level 2 or Level 1 Trauma Centers required
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (or ATCN/ATLC), NIH Stroke Scale
• Prior Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred (Cerner documentation, clinical charting)
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• Travel policy: must not reside within 60 miles of Lynchburg, VA

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to diverse patient populations as an Emergency Department RN
• Assess, triage, and manage acute and critical patients using advanced clinical skills and trauma protocols
• Respond to trauma activations and critical care situations as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Perform focused assessments, initiate interventions, and monitor patient progress in the ED
• Document care and interventions accurately using Cerner EMR (electronic medical record)
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols
