Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) travel assignment in Lynchburg, VA — 13-week Level II Trauma Center role for experienced ER RNs with ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. Join a supportive emergency department team and advance your emergency nursing career in central Virginia.

• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 — central Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains area
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: LGH Emergency Room (Level II Trauma Center)
• Start Dates: 4/7/2026 or 4/20/2026 (orientation every other Monday)
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days, 36 hours/week; must work every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910–$2,010

• Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 — enjoy historic downtown, parks, and outdoor recreation in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse assignment (Travel RN / Travel Emergency Nurse)
• Unit: Emergency Room — Level II Trauma Center (trauma nurse experience required)
• Start Dates: 4/7/2026 or 4/20/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Not required

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience in a comparable ED (Emergency Room RN / Emergency Department RN)
• Level I or Level II trauma experience required — trauma nurse experience (TNCC/ATCN/ATLS/ATLC)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (Travel Nurse / Travel RN)
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (or equivalent trauma certification)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred (EMR / EHR experience)
• Must be able to provide all requested time-off at submission
• Locals within 60 miles are not eligible for this travel assignment

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients presenting with acute and emergent conditions
• Perform rapid assessment, triage, and clinical management in a busy ED setting
• Participate in trauma activations and respond to critical situations as a trauma nurse
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to ED protocols
• Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR (or equivalent)
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and emergency department best practices
• Work scheduled shifts including every other weekend
