- Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per month, based on unit need
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800-$1890
- Minimum 2 years recent experience as a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med/Surg RN)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Teaching hospital experience, precepting, or charge experience preferred
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
- Ability to collaborate with students, new hires, and multidisciplinary teams in a teaching hospital setting
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a busy surgical Med/Surg unit
- Provide mentorship and clinical support to students and new hires as part of a teaching hospital team
- May assume charge nurse responsibilities (with appropriate training and pay differential)
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices for surgical and medical-surgical care
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training as required
