    Med Surg Orthopedics (60% orthopedic, 40% general medical)
  • Shift: 12-hour nights
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/22/2025, End: 12/20/2025)
  • Orientation:
    Every other Monday
  • Weekend Requirement: 2 out of 3 weekends per month (based on unit need)
  • Holiday Requirement:
    Must work 2 of 3 holidays
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1680–$1800
Qualifications
  • Active RN license in Virginia or compact state
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in orthopedic nursing or related specialty
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Experience in a teaching hospital preferred
  • All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
  • Approved declinations for COVID/Flu vaccinations accepted
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to orthopedic and general medical-surgical patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Monitor patient progress, assess changes in condition, and respond promptly
  • Administer medications, treatments, and assist with orthopedic procedures as needed
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care, recovery, and discharge instructions
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and comply with hospital and healthcare policies
