General Managers responsibilities

General Managers at our growing cafés supervise up to 60 staff members to ensure a top‑quality service experience for our guests.

  • Provide outstanding leadership to your team.

  • Demonstrate sustainable long‑term success, maintaining a profitable business.
  • Ensure prompt, friendly service according to company guidelines and meet objective of unit on customer feedback reports.
  • Direct overall activities and performance of employees on a shift‑by‑shift basis.
  • Create an Employer of Choice environment by encouraging a culture in accordance with Flynn Panera values and beliefs.
  • Respond and rectify guest complaints immediately.
  • Prioritize guest contact with completion of required table visits per Flynn Panera standards.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and adjust par levels as needed.
  • Ensure product preparation and presentation meets company standards, using line checks to Flynn Panera standards.

  • Communicate with other managers daily through management log and shift change meetings and weekly through manager meetings.
  • Ensure quality recruitment and referrals of potential management candidates.
  • Maintain a trained staff through effective use of employment orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings, and implementation of company policies and training sessions.
