Guest Night Auditor – Paragon Hotel Company
Increase guest satisfaction by providing efficient and courteous guest service in accordance with the standards of the hotel while adhering to guidelines and procedures.
Execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue. Manage total front office operations, act as Manager on Duty, respond to guest requests, represent the hotel during late evening and early morning hours, and maintain thorough communication with management staff. Understand and implement the mission statement, values, and culture at all times.
Requirements- 1+ years of experience in a branded, quality hotel (preferred)
- High School diploma or equivalent;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Experience in accounting (preferred)
- Professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Physical ability: stand for eight hours, lift/pull up to 60 pounds, lift up to 30 pounds, perform major life activities (standing, lifting, bending, reading, concentrating, communicating)
- Work schedule may include long hours, holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Stand, lift, bend, stretch, and reach during shifts
- May need to push or pull laundry equipment and fold linens following approved procedures
- Hours vary and can require occasional work on holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Manager on Duty functions
- Cash and credit card handling, balancing charges
- Safety and security measures
- Property operations, staff services, room rates, and discounts
- Frequent Stay Program and reservation procedures
- Phone etiquette and handling inquiries about shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel
- Daily hotel operations, event updates, and bulletin board management
- Computer literacy: operate property management system for posting charges, computing bills, collecting payments, and making change
- Multitasking, detail-oriented, service-centric communication with guests and staff
- Assistance with guest issues, maintaining a hospitable attitude
- Knowledge of emergency procedures and safety standards
- Ability to maintain certifications for alcohol service if applicable
- Greet and register guests, provide room assignments, maintain privacy, and accommodate special requests
- Promote and sell hotel services/amenities and future reservations
- Identify sales leads, report to appropriate personnel, and keep housekeeping and departments informed of special requests
- Verify credit card validity at shift end
- Use PMS and ensure all financial records are balanced at shift end
- Assist in F & B and property cleanliness (lobby, dining area, etc.)
- Maintain emergency knowledge and report hazards promptly
- Use Service Recovery Log and other communication logs between shifts
- Enter labor statistics and accounting payables for online portals daily
- Perform other duties as assigned or within capability
