Overview
The CSAC serves as a therapeutic counselor in a residential substance abuse treatment program, providing individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy.
- Perform case management and crisis intervention.
- Under supervision, supervise client work, coordinate treatment plans, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with agency regulations.
- Assess new residents; document clinical progress; collaborate with families and professionals; participate in program development and quality improvement activities.
- Supervise staff and interns; administer drug screenings; coordinate aftercare services.
- Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with 3-5 years of experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
This full-time position offers benefits, with work based in Lynchburg, VA, requiring in-person presence and relocation if necessary.
