Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Consultant Dietitian in Long term Care/skilled nursing rehab as a hybrid position based in Lynchburg, Va. Relocation assistance will be provided to the right candidate.

Also other locations available in Richmond, Va, Washington, DC, Nebraska, Michigan, North Carolina, and Maryland. Apply and inquire if interested in other locations.

The RD will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy, managing weights and monitoring skin interventions, enteral feeding, monthly dialysis reviews, and improving overall nutrition for clients in skilled nursing/rehab.

• Conduct nutritional assessments for new admits, significant weight changes, pressure injuries, dialysis, and calculate enteral nutrition/TPN for residents in long-term care
• Provide dietary services following state and federal laws and regulations, and corporate guidelines.
• Clinical Charting (if required in states or corporations) weights, new admits, high-risk charting
• Nutrition education and in-service training for staff development and regulatory compliance
• Implementation of the plan of corrections
• Help prepare community for state survey

• Must maintain active membership and registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with a team
• Experience in geriatrics, renal, oncology, or food safety and sanitation is a plus but not required
