The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for providing comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services within a multidisciplinary team. This role involves working with individuals who are receiving behavioral health services in one or more of the following Programs:
Residential, Outpatient, and Inpatient mental health and/or substance abuse and dependence treatment settings to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans that address behavioral health needs. The MHP will also provide individual and group support, crisis intervention, and support for clients and their families, fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and well-being.
The expertise of the MHP will contribute to creating a safe and therapeutic environment that fosters mental and emotional well-being. In addition, MHP’s may serve as a preceptor to student interns and staff, ensuring that therapeutic programming is effectively implemented.
Key responsibilities include completing biopsychosocial assessments and assisting in the development of individualized treatment plans, with each plan evidencing final review through a dated signature of an LMHP. You will also debrief patients and staff following any safety events or Code Atlas incidents, ensuring clear communication with the treatment team regarding major incidents such as elopements, therapeutic holds, injuries, or seclusions.
