Scribe-CMG Neurosurgery

The Scribe accompanies attending physicians in order to document the patient encounter allowing contemporaneous completion of history and physical examination.

• Accurately document the patient encounter to include but not limited to history physical examination treatments and procedures performed
• Checks for any incomplete charts at the end of the shift
• Completes required documentation within a reasonable time frame
• Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with other departments
• Displays and promoted a positive public relations approach to staff, physicians, patient's family, and public
• Track and enter lab results radiography and EKG Interpretations progress notes procedures and consultations into the EMR
• Maintains confidentiality of patient data according to policies
• Promotes cohesiveness in the working environment
• May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma / GED. Medical or Healthcare Management Courses
• Required Experience: Intermediate computer knowledge. Interest in medicine. Proficient typing. Great listening skills. Attention to detail
• Preferred Experience: Experience in use of EMR (electronic medical record) system
