** About the Role
** We are seeking an experienced and collaborative
** Director, Perioperative Services
** to lead clinical and operational excellence within our ambulatory surgery environment. This role is ideal for a strategic nursing leader who thrives in fast-paced settings, values teamwork, and is passionate about delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

Working in close partnership with the Executive Director, Perioperative Services, and the Director of Operatory Quality, the Director will help execute the vision and strategy for the center while optimizing resources, developing talent, and driving continuous quality improvement.##
** What You’ll Do
** As the Director, Perioperative Services, you will provide leadership, mentorship, and clinical expertise across perioperative operations, with responsibility for patient outcomes, staff engagement, and fiscal performance.##
** Primary Functions & Responsibilities
*** Oversee and provide operational leadership and guidance to all operatories and procedural suites
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with physicians, leadership, and management in support of the organization’s vision and strategy
* Lead operatory and procedural teams in the successful execution of goals while fostering positive employee relations and high engagement
* Optimize staff performance and technical expertise through clear objectives, training, skill development, and performance evaluation
* Coordinate committee meetings, including agendas and meeting minutes
* Facilitate and present monthly operational reporting
* Collaborate and communicate effectively with Regional Executive Directors to achieve regional goals
* Partner with leaders to organize and implement statewide initiatives focused on standardization and reducing variation across the practice
* Work collaboratively with ancillary department leaders to support integrated operations
* Optimize patient access within operatory and procedural centers
* Develop and manage the operational budget, including variance reporting and corrective action planning
* Drive attainment of budget targets and support the overall financial success of the practice
* Perform other duties as assigned##
** In addition, this role will:
*** Ensure safe, high-quality patient care through evidence-based practices and adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards
* Serve as a clinical and operational resource for perioperative staff
* Mentor and develop leaders and team members, supporting ongoing education and professional growth
* Participate in hiring, performance management, and succession planning
* Lead and support quality review, performance improvement, and accreditation readiness initiatives
** What You Bring

* Required Qualifications:

*** Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
* Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
* Minimum of 5 years of perioperative services experience
* At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in a medical or ambulatory surgical setting
