Position OverviewThe Site Finance Lead plays a vital role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of a designated site within the organization. This position provides strategic financial guidance, ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and drives effective financial planning and analysis. The Site Finance Lead collaborates closely with cross‑functional teams—including Operations, Project Management, and Corporate Finance—to support business objectives and enhance financial performance.
Location:
On‑site in Lynchburg, Virginia
- Serve as the primary financial liaison to the General Manager, overseeing all revenue‑related financial aspects of the facility.
- Prepare comprehensive financial analysis and complex reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual review meetings, including analysis of unusual items and detailed variance against forecasts.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes, including quarterly updates, while enhancing forecasting accuracy through collaboration with Operations stakeholders.
- Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
- Deliver timely, meaningful financial insights to support informed decision‑making by stakeholders.
- Support Digital Finance transformation initiatives, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Continuously improve financial processes, including project cost and margin analysis.
- Collaborate with Operations to identify and monitor risks and opportunities.
- Assist in site budget preparation and respond to data requests from Operations.
- Crosstrain with departmental colleagues to ensure adequate coverage of finance responsibilities across multiple plants.
- Manage tasks independently with a proactive, self‑directed approach.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial reporting, financial systems, and leadership.
- Proven experience with DoD or DOE government accounting, revenue recognition, FAR/DFARS, and other government contract compliance requirements.
- Strong expertise in budgeting and cost control.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work on‑site at the assigned location in Lynchburg, Virginia.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.
