WhatYou’ll Do Day-To-Day
- Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at plant sites; may include equipment associated with refueling, inspecting and maintaining nuclear reactors and components.
- Conducts a variety of routine and non-routine tasks, operates specialized equipment, takes measurements, extracts and compiles data regarding equipment and process performance; collates data on task and outage performance.
- Develops calculations, tables, reports and related data; maintains maintenance logs and certification documents.
- Develops maintenance procedures, problem reports, field schedules, and task close out reports, as needed.
- Participates in planning and executing projects; assists in preparation of proposal and procurement documents.
- May provide input to training materials and may conduct training, as needed.
- Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.
- Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.
- May require extensive travel to a variety of regional and remote job sites.
- May/Will require unescorted nuclear site access.
- Technical certifications to be acquired:
- NDE Technician II requirements met;
- Tool Technician:
Must gain two additional tool technician certs and be an Assistant System Lead for a tool system; - Operator:
Must acquire two additional operator certifications; - NDE Technician:
Must record all experience gained and become LVL I in at least 2 disciplines; - Leadership:
Must attend at least one leadership course per year and fill a leadership role.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience and NDE Technician II requisites

Tool Technician:
Two additional tool technician certs;
Operator:
Must complete NDE
117.2, NDE
1150.5, NDE
1320.2, NDE
1110.4 or RAN
100.2; NDE Technician:
Must record all experience gained and become LVL I in at least one discipline. - Advanced knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in a particular field.
- May require specific nuclear reactor plant maintenance qualification training and certification.
- Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies and programs, as required for specific roles.
- Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, convey detailed technical data and work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.
- Salary: $63,000 – $82,000 per year, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
