Position Summary

Framatome is seeking a Director of Operations to lead end-to-end delivery of Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) infrastructure across both safety and non‑safety product lines. This role owns manufacturing, production, equipment qualification, assembly, testing, and logistics – ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and scalability. The ideal leader will build a high‑performing global team capable of delivering mission‑critical solutions with nuclear‑grade quality, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership
    • Lead full lifecycle operations for I&C systems—from manufacturing and production through qualification, testing, and shipment.
    • Manage the NA operations footprint, optimizing internal capacity and leveraging third‑party subcontractors for flexible, scalable execution.
    • Drive strategies that balance growth, compliance, and execution excellence.
    • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and process standardization to improve quality, cost, and delivery.
    • Align new product industrialization with engineering and project teams for seamless production readiness.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to all nuclear, regulatory, and industry standards (NRC, ISO, ASME, NQA‑1).
    • Foster a culture of operational discipline and safety excellence.
    • Partner with Engineering, Project, Quality, and Regulatory teams to maintain audit readiness and product integrity.
  • Manufacturing & Production
    • Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation, and workforce development.
    • Standardize cabinet design/build and assembly for safety and non‑safety systems.
    • Optimize throughput through Lean manufacturing and digital production tools.
  • Qualification, Testing & Validation
    • Direct independent verification, validation, and qualification testing to meet nuclear licensing standards.
    • Manage system‑level testing, equipment calibration, and documentation for full traceability.
    • Track KPIs for yield, reliability, and first‑pass success; drive continuous improvement.
  • Supply Chain, SIOP & Demand Planning
    • Lead end‑to‑end global supply chain operations—sourcing, procurement, materials, and logistics.
    • Own SIOP to align demand forecasts with production capacity and material availability.
    • Strengthen supplier partnerships and mitigate risk across critical and nuclear‑grade components.
    • Optimize inventory, working capital, and on‑time delivery performance.
  • Digital Modernization
    • Drive adoption of digital manufacturing tools and data‑driven operations.
    • Build infrastructure to scale next‑generation I&C modernization programs.
    • Integrate advanced analytics to improve traceability, efficiency, and decision‑making.
  • Operational Excellence & Leadership
    • Lead operations to meet QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety) objectives.
    • Manage budgets, resources, and group‑level performance metrics.
    • Build and develop a high‑performing, collaborative operations team.
    • Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain;
    Master's preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership in operations or supply chain; 5+ years at Director level or higher.
  • Experience in digital I&C systems or other regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, defense, or energy).
  • Proven success in SIOP, demand planning, and global supply chain optimization.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety classifications, licensing, and quality standards (NRC 10 CFR 50/52, IEEE 603, IEC 61513, NQA‑1).
  • Demonstrated record of driving modernization, efficiency, and transformation.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
