Inpatient Gastroenterologist - Lynchburg, VA

Centra Medical Group is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to join our inpatient team at Lynchburg General Hospital, located in the scenic and welcoming community of Lynchburg, Virginia. This hospital-based role is bolstered by our long-standing, collaborative partnership with Gastroenterology Associates of Central VA, ensuring an exceptionally collegial atmosphere where patient-first care and physician support are top priorities.

• Focused inpatient consultations and procedures
• Average 10-15 consults per day
• APP support dedicated to inpatient consults
• Monday-Friday schedule with 6-8 weeks of vacation
• 1:9 call, shared with the independent local GI group
• Time off covered by the Gastroenterology Associates group
• Consult-only service — hospitalists handle all admissions
• Opportunity to perform outpatient procedures

• Valid, unrestricted medical license
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
• Board Eligible / Board Certified
• ERCP training preferred
