Nursery Nurse - Level 3
Full-time: 30 - 45 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Part-time: 20-27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Flexible to suit the needs of the business.
OverviewEarly Learners Nursery (Eccleston) is a newly opened setting in September 2022 and we are looking for someone to join our growing team. Early Learners Nurseries has been caring for babies and young children since 1985 and is a family run company. We want passionate Early Years Professionals to join our expanding workforce.
Job SummaryWe are searching for a proactive candidate who can effectively support our manager and its team. The position involves having a high level of responsibility for the day-to‑day operations of the company. The job involves overseeing and successfully delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Guidance (EYFS).
A candidate for this position will need to demonstrate the ability to successfully manage children, support parents & carers and work alongside others. They must be proactive, have a positive approach to learning and be open to change as Early Learners is an evolving and growing company that continuously strives for excellence.
They must provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in which babies and young children are supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential. All candidates must provide evidence of a minimum Early Years qualification of a level 3+, a childcare degree and/or NQT, equivalent or higher to apply for a position.
All employees must be registered with the DBS update service. We have effective systems in place to ensure that all candidates applying for a position and any other person who is likely to have regular contact with children are suitable, prepared and ready to commence employment.
Requirements- Minimum Early Years qualification of level 3+, childcare degree and/or NQT, or equivalent.
- Evidence of DBS registration.
- Proactive, positive learning approach and openness to change.
- Experience in managing children and supporting parents & carers.
- Knowledge and understanding of EYFS, safeguarding and child protection.

- Copies of your relevant childcare certificates (level 3 childcare diploma, foundation degree, full degree, QT, EYP etc.).
- Copies of your GCSE certificates (Maths & English grades C and above – essential to apply).
- Any copies of safeguarding/child protection training and level.
- Two contacts and addresses for written references (one needs to be current employer).
The interview is led by a member of the management team. We will ask you questions and review the following areas:
- Childcare history and experience.
- Special Educational Needs and Disabilities experience.
- Qualification(s) & awards.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.
- Safeguarding and child protection.
- Procedure for dealing with concerns about a child’s abuse.
- Prevent Duty & British Vales.
