Shop Volunteer SAVE CHILDREN

Overview

We are excited to welcome you back to the Lymington Save the Children Shop. We are looking for volunteers to join our team and help make an impact. This is a voluntary, unpaid role based in the UK. We are not able to provide support with visa requests. Candidates must be over 18.

Our Lymington Shop Volunteers will be in the middle of it all, with plenty to get involved in. You might be sorting and pricing stock, engaging with customers, ringing items through the till, creating fantastic window displays, or keeping our shop floor looking organised. It’s up to you how much you commit. Some volunteers support for a couple of hours a week, and some do more.

Many people volunteer for a morning or an afternoon each week; this will be discussed at the selection stage after you’ve applied.

• Representative for Save the Children in the shop
• No retail or shop experience required; full training will be provided

We support children to transform their lives in over 110 countries. We provide live-saving short-term help and push for long-term social change, helping children take control of their futures. We believe every child has the right to learn, good food, and medicine when they are sick.

After you apply, you may be invited for an informal trial shift to visit the shop, meet existing volunteers, and try some tasks you would support with as a shop volunteer. We also ask for a couple of references (not necessarily formal workplace ones) who have known you for over 6 months and aren’t related.
