Job Summary
Thank you for your interest in the Receptionist / Appointment Clerk position. We’re seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our vibrant and supportive Radiology Admin Team. If you have a background in reception, administration, and appointment booking, along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, this could be the perfect role for you.
In this busy and rewarding role, you’ll be responsible for providing specialised reception cover, booking imaging appointments, handling administrative tasks, and assisting with patient and visitor queries both in person and by phone. As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, your professionalism and confidence in dealing with people at all levels will be essential.

The Ideal candidate will have these desired skills and attributes, but training will also be given:
- Experience in working in a patient / customer facing role.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Attention to detail.
- Work accurately and calmly under pressure.
- High level of computer literacy.
- To be able to multi-task.
- Excellent timekeeping.
- Flexibility to cover colleague absence
- Flexibility to change days / hours if needed.
The role is 37.5 hours per week. We work various shifts over 7 days from Monday to Sunday, with different shift patterns and weekend work applicable. Our department is open from 8am to 8pm, and example shifts include 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 12pm-8pm. All shifts are on a rota.
The role will cover 4 different reception areas and a call centre:
Main X‑Ray department, Cherry Tree Reception, Ultrasound Department, MRI department, and Women's Clinic Ultrasound reception.
