Being a Ramp Agent means you are in the front line of aircraft movements unloading and loading passenger aircraft and in some cases even specialised cargo aircraft every day.

You will be involved daily in:

  • Making aircraft safe on arrival by means of chocking and powering the aircraft prior to passengers disembarking
  • Moving ground Equipment such as steps to the airplane for embarking and disembarking passengers
  • Safe off-loading and delivery of passenger bags to arrivals areas
  • Safe loading of passenger baggage & cargo/mail items, this could be loosely loaded in aircraft holds or loaded on pallets & other ULD's (containers) by using specialised GSE (FMC)
  • Making aircraft ready for departure, holds closed, doors & exterior checked FEGP disconnected
  • Aircraft pushback or tow, to include headset control, wing walking
  • Able to work in any whether condition

For this position ALL ramp agents need to hold a valid UK drivers license as you will be trained and tested to gain your own airport driving permit (ADP)

Gaining your ADP means you will drive specific equipment (GSE) needed to safely off-load and load passenger baggage as well as freight, mail, courier (CQ), live animals (AVI) and much more.

30 Hours per week, overtime available, Full time hours after you have passed driving training.

OFF, EARLIES AND LATES

Pay rate: £13.17 per hour.

What you need:
  • MUST HOLD FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE
  • A flexible approach to work,
  • Good attitude in team work
  • Be physically fit
  • Prepared to work in all weathers - rain or sun or snow or all three!
  • Happy for early mornings and late nights
  • Great attitude with a can do approach to work.
