Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 FTE per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 22 hours per week.
Location: Luton (supported accommodation setting)
Shifts: Includes some weekend working

Supported Housing is a vital part of our service delivery. Through a person‑centred, coaching‑led approach, we support customers living in temporary and shared accommodation to build confidence, develop independence and move forward positively within their communities.

This role sits within our commissioned supported accommodation provision supporting people referred by Luton Borough Council who require tailored, specialist support. Working in a small, dedicated team, you’ll help deliver intensive, trauma‑informed and psychologically informed support, enabling customers to feel safe, empowered and supported as they work towards independence.
AboutThe Role
As a Support Coach, you will be the primary source of day‑to‑day support for customers within the service. Working closely with other Support Coaches, the Team Leader and Services Manager, you’ll deliver flexible, responsive and psychologically informed support that adapts to changing needs.
You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, structured and supportive environment, providing consistent boundaries, practical guidance and honest support while empowering customers to develop life skills, confidence and resilience.
What You’ll Be Doing- Delivering day‑to‑day running of the supported accommodation and direct support to customers
- Providing person‑centred, non‑judgemental, trauma‑informed coaching tailored to individual needs
- Managing your own caseload, including weekly support sessions and professional meetings
- Completing assessments, support plans and risk management plans for new customers
- Supporting customers with benefits, personal contributions, arrears management and payment plans
- Supporting customers to develop independent living skills and plan successful move‑on into the community
- Carrying out room checks and ensuring accommodation remains safe and secure
- Completing health & safety checks, fire drills and reporting repair issues
- Maintaining accurate daily records and updating internal systems
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals, including social workers, solicitors, translators, police and education providers
- Providing specialist support around immigration matters, settled status and age assessments
- Ensuring safeguarding, child protection and all relevant policies and procedures are followed
- Promoting Squared services within the wider community
- Providing cover for colleagues when required
