Adult Social Workers in Luton deliver statutory, person-centered social work that promotes independence, wellbeing, inclusion and choice for adults with care and support needs.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals to live as independently and safely as possible within their communities, while applying strengths-based practice and upholding high professional standards.

• Complete strengths-based assessments of adults and carers in line with the Care Act and related legislation.
• Develop, implement and review outcome-focused support plans.
• Manage safeguarding concerns, balancing positive risk-taking with safety and independence.
• Promote personalization, reablement and effective use of community and voluntary sector resources.
• Work collaboratively with health professionals, housing providers and community partners.
• Maintain accurate, timely case records and reports in accordance with statutory and organisational standards.
• Participate in supervision, reflective practice and continuous professional development.

• Apply key legislation and frameworks including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, DoLS/LPS and safeguarding procedures.
• Undertake risk assessments and regular support plan reviews.
• Promote service user voice, involvement and access to advocacy.
• Contribute effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and partnership settings.

We are looking for a committed and compassionate professional who demonstrates:

• Qualified Social Worker status (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and strengths-based practice.
• Excellent communication, analytical and partnership-working skills.
• The ability to work effectively with diverse communities and individuals with complex needs.
