About the Role
As an RAC Mobile Mechanic in the Service, Maintenance and Repair division, you will bring expert vehicle maintenance and diagnostic skills directly to our customers wherever they are. From driveways to office car parks, you will deliver first‑class service without the constraints of a traditional garage. We equip you for success from day one – with your own RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools and diagnostic kit all provided.
Key Responsibilities- You are someone who gets people – representing the RAC with pride, chatting with customers, giving advice and showing what we’re all about.
- You mix up tasks: servicing, diagnostics, repairs and checks, and manage your stock, do reporting and keep customer conversations flowing.
- You think on your feet, making the right call for each customer in a constantly changing environment.
- Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
- A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
- A competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings of up to £50,000.
- Guaranteed overtime option to increase your base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
- Full‑time 40‑hour week (Monday‑Saturday availability 8am‑8pm) with core hours 8:30am‑5pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
